This three-part workshop series will cover the foundations of sustainable food systems, soil health, food preservation and composting. 


Each workshop date will deliver unique content on one of the following topics :

  • Introduction to Just Roots' work and our community farms

  • Ways to improve soil & plant health

  • Methods for preserving freshness from field to refrigerator

  • Practices for composting food scraps and minimizing food waste

These workshops are free and open to the public - no experience is necessary. They are designed for adults, ages 16 and older. Children younger than 16 are able to join if they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Reach out to Jess at jess@justrootschicago.org with any questions.
