We’ve talked about your indoor rig, and we cannot emphasize enough how the light is truly the star of the show.
Seed starting uses artificial light, and if you’re not investing in the recommended full-spectrum grow light, you have to try even harder to replicate your plants’ ideal growing conditions.
A $20-30 LED light from the big box store may not pull much electricity, but it WILL be dead within two years. It also can’t support seedlings in the fruiting stages of development, and let me tell you once a plant passes its threshold it will begin to die on the rack and its ability to yield fruit and be strong diminishes dramatically.

These handcrafted red-glowing lights are more aesthetically pleasing than harsh white light, they also provide you the space to leave plants in your grow rig for longer. Sometimes outdoor conditions aren’t ready for your plants yet, and if you’re using cheap lights or just the window, your seedling really may not be able to take to the soil outside when it comes transplanting time. Without the right gear, you could stunt it!
