OPENLANDS Vegetable Gardening Basics Webinar

VIRTUAL EVENT

Vegetable Gardening Basics Part 1/Conceptos Básicos de la Huerta, Parte 1

REGISTER

Join David Toledo from Contemporary Farmer Inc. to learn the basics of vegetable gardening for spring. Understand how to prepare and nourish the soil, what to plant and when, what is best to plant as a seed vs. seedling, and how gardening can be a solution to climate change. This meeting will be presented in both English and Spanish if needed.

Why Openlands is hosting this workshop:

Openlands has installed 90 school gardens and green schoolyards, over the past ten years to create space for these vital connections between the child and the natural world. Openlands engages students and teachers in greening and using their school campus as extensions of the classroom. We want schools to build their confidence in maintaining a spring vegetable garden. We want to encourage schools to engage parents and community members in their garden, so all are welcome.
